Well things are beginning to look and feel a bit more organised here at the Manse. Although most things are still in boxes, we have a bed now which is a major improvement on the previous night sleeping on a futon mattress on the floor. The kitchen is pretty much unpacked and operational which meant a nice cup of coffee and chocolate weetabix for breakfast in the conservatory while I updated Facebook and Twitter. Nice.
I had a very busy day yesterday.
The removal men who were due to arrive at 9.30am arrived at 8.30am as I was about to step into the shower, great start. But all credit to the boys from Whites of Birmingham they got everything moved in fast an efficiently, although they didn't manage to get Isaac's wardrobe upstairs even though I am still convinced it would fit.
Met the property steward and he was very helpful, talking us through what had and had not been done on the Manse and why.
The most fun thing to do though has to have been the test drive on my new car (which I have now put a deposit on). A cracking little Citroen C3 in sky blue. As it is a 1.4 diesel it is only £20 a year tax and does about 65mpg which is perfect for getting around the circuit.
I called my insurer MoreThan to sort out adding it to my policy as a second car but that part of their system was down. They did however change some of my details. My address is now changed, Becca is now the main driver and my job has been changed. This has more than halved my car insurance yay! But it does mean that I will get my car insurance sent to REV Jon Miller as they did not have Deacon on there system and I thought Rabbi didn't fit. If Methodist pensions can send to REV J Miller then so can my insurance.
Today's jobs.
Carpet cleaner coming at some undisclosed time.
Need to add some stuff to my diary.
Must build furniture (after carpet cleaning)
Sort out car insurance
Change details for other stuff like Bank etc
Set up gas and electricity.
Ah well, back to the grindstone.......

The best bit about the Chocolate Weetabix was that they are dairy free!
