Last night at about 8pm the Out-laws arrived with our children in tow. The kids barely stopped to take their shoes off as they shot upstairs to inspect their new bedrooms. The boy was close to tears upon seeing his and was especially excited by the presence of a new transformer! A 25th Anniversary G1 tribute Optimus Prime (to be quite honest I was hoping he would hate it and then it would be MINE)!
The girl would not stop chattering about her new bedroom and kept dragging whichever parent, grandparent or brother was to hand to come and look at it.
Mission accomplished!
Today's job is Sky racing.
In order to play Sky racing you have to have a Sky installation booked and a welcome pack with viewing card which has not arrived yet.
The Sky engineer is due at some point between 8am and 1pm and the post (hopefully with the welcome pack) is due at ?????
Oh the tension is unbearable!
Never mind, I can take my mind off it by sending emails, building a TV unit to house our lovely flatscreen and new Blu-ray player (thank you Amazon, it actually arrived at 5pm, after waiting in most of the day before giving up and popping out for an hour assuming it would arrive while we were out, thankfully it is now here) and the Sky box when it gets here.
The Deacon-mobile has been delayed by a dodgy spring found in the MOT so it is getting fixed and will be mine on Thursday which should be much more convenient than today.
Oh and the contents of the manse are now insured courtesy of Methodist Insurance, only £145!
Hopefully we should get out for a bit with the family this afternoon. Stay tuned for photos and tales of our adventures!
