Paradigm shift in gospel sharing

Never have people had such a degree of choice in terms of attending worship or having the chance to hear the Bible Preached. True it is all Digitally at the moment but if you want to you can attend a Church in Wales service, a Catholic Mass or a Methodist Service all from the comfort of your home at a time which is manageable for you as a family.

I find it interesting that this current situation seems to have given rise to the Netflixification (I'm coining this phrase) of Church.

Just as TV once said, if you want to watch this program then you need to be in at 7pm on a Thursday evening and sat in front of you telly-box, and now we can watch what we want to and when we want to.

The Church is moving from saying "If you want God, you need to be here 10.30am on a Sunday!" and is now saying "We are here for you when you need us, we can speak to you of God at any time."

I know this is an exaggeration and that Churches have and do SERVE people 7 days of the week, but from a Church service point of view and preaching the Gospel. This is a paradigm shift.

Incidentally if you are after a box set of podcasts to binge, my one, the Digital Deacon Podcast is available from your nearest podcast supplier.
