Things sure have changed here on Waltons mountain.

Well would you believe it? Just over one week from moving in we have unpacked the last (cardboard)box! You can see carpet on my office floor (a lovely blue colour) and I am writing this on my old steam powered desktop PC instead of my shiney new (probably powered by hi tech spaceage* something or other) HTC Desire.

To celebrate this very nearly almost fully moved in status we decided to go out exploring our local area today.

Firstly we thought we might go to Eastbourne town centre, but as we live there (nearly) it didn't seem like much of a day out. Then we thought, "How about going to Hastings?" However, after a quick bit of googling it was decided that Hastings may be best left for another day, for today was a carnival day and we thought it maybe too busy. In a moment of inspiration we settled on going to Lewes! They have a castle and it was their farmers market today (sweet! I could have spent far to much money if I had the chance) and loads of really cool shops (which I could have spent far too long and too much money in if it wasn't for the kids dragging me ever onwards).

The Fab farmers market at Lewes (even though there was lots of lovely dairy based goodies I can no longer eat D:)

*The term "space age" actually bothers me greatly. Wasn't the space age like the late 50's early 60's? When a computer was the size of a room and phones only came chained to walls?
