As promised (finally) a posting about our great adventure at Bodiam castle. It was a most castly of castles, with turrets and a moat and everything.

Inside it was a little less how shall we say? Well maintained. As with most old castles the interior wooden floors were long gone and many of the interior walls have crumbled some.
But you can still get up the towers. So we did!
Boy was it windy up there.
Now castles are great and all but that was not the real reason we decided to head off to Bodiam. No, no. We had heard that there was a special Knights and Princesses academy! And we know just the little people who would love such a thing.

The girl was overcome with emotion at the thought of getting to be a real princess!

The new recruits get their orders!
The ladies in waiting were taken off to a tent to draw their family crest
"By the LEFT!"
They learnt to stand  the right distance appart
At ease men!
Paying attention
This helmet just about fits him (a miracle)
A small army of princesses (or would that be Princessi?)
going
going
going
going
gone!

In the end they both got their certificates and lived happily ever after. The end.

Coming soon, the Dunkirk trip!
