What we have here are the results of mine and Elizabeth's most recent Daddy Date. As our Zig has a touch of congunctivitus at present, swimming was out of the question today so we settled in for a bit of indoor fun.
Zig being one of those arty types as well we decided on having an arty day. Zig was going to have some art lessons, in an attempt to temper her artistic flare.
In an effort to focus our learning today we dsecided we would begin by drawing and painting monsters, so we ran round the house gathering inspiration. Monsters surfaced from every corner and we set about our work.
We began with some basic shape and line work, circles, zig zags and wavey lines and such. Zig was a natural.
Then we had a bash at drawing some monsters and here are the results.

This one is mine, I wasn't really concentrating which may explain why it turned out like a blue Mike Wacowski from Monsters Inc |

This delightful creature is one of the Zig's creations. I'm loving the teeth and its stubby arms |
 |
This fellow is Boris, who is the main character from one of Zig's favourite books. He does tickly kisses which bother other monsters but eventually saves the day! |
Next I thought I'd let Zig loose on the water colours and propper paintbrushes not those chunky ELC jobbies kids normally have to use. She was suprisingly good but as she played with this new medium she became a touch distracted. So she threw technique out the window and CREATED! Interestingly though she still washed her brush continuously as she painted and rarely mixed on the paint pads.

This was my watercolour doodle as I taugh the Zig how to mix paint and use her brush |

This is Zig's "Butterfly Tree" and that is all I can say |
God bless Y'all
Zig's monster is my fave, what a brilliant creature!
