God created a rainbow people.
In the beginning, God’s Holy Spirit hovered over grey and colourless world.
God said, let there be people, different colours, different shapes, different thinking.
And there were people, people of every kind, people reflecting the image of God.
God created a rainbow people.

God’s Holy Spirit, hovered over and came to live in the peoples hearts.
God saw that there were people who treated the word of God so seriously,
The word was the rock on which they built their faith, stable and solid.

God’s Holy Spirit, flowed in, through and between people, painting colour as she flew.

The word was playful and living, they played with it and lived it.

God listened as the rainbow people spoke of the love of God and love of others,
The rainbow people spoke to each other in love and listened in love.

God’s Holy Spirit frowned, the rainbow people tried to direct her, choose her way
God saw that some of the colours had begun to fade, darkening, turning grey,
Some rainbow people clung to one colour as they tried to play or build.
God created a rainbow people.

God’s Holy Spirit poured, like soothing oil and refreshing water, she healed.
God saw broken people of both sides, God healed broken people of all kinds.
The rainbow people became kaleidoscopic, shot through with colour.
God created a rainbow people.

God’s Holy Spirit smiled, her smile shone into the remaining dark places.
God saw Jesus, he walked the streets and towns and gathered the rainbow people.
The rainbow people embraced with Father, Son and Holy Spirit at their centre.
God created a rainbow people, a promise that there will always be love.
